Mark Alabanza is thrilled to be returning to the Bus Barn Stage for a show he’s always wanted to do! Mark was last seen here in Forever Plaid (Sparky) several years ago. He recently performed in Rent with the Palo Alto Players and is looking forward to doing more theatre in the spare time that he has. He is now working with Human Resources and Operations at the Stanford School of Medicine. He is excited to be working with fellow Plaid, Will Perez, and Plaid director, Barbara Cannon. Favorite shows include: Miss Saigon (Seaside Music Theatre), Assassins (City Lights Theatre Company), The King and I (Actors’ Playhouse), West Side Story (Broadway Palm West) and The Music Man (The Little Theatre on the Square). Ernestine Balisi was last seen as Crystal in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, and is delighted to return for Bus Barn's fifteenth anniversary season in her fifth Bus Barn production! Past and favorite credits include Millie (THOROUGHLY MODERN MILLIE; Peninsula Youth Theatre), Yvette (MISS SAIGON; Children's Musical Theatre of San Jose), Young TiMoune (ONCE ON THIS ISLAND; Sunnyvale Community Players) and Z's Favorite (WILL ROGERS FOLLIES; South Bay Musical Theatre). When not performing, Ernestine teaches dance throughout the Bay Area ans will be seen next as Co-Choreographer for Peninsula Youth Theatre's production of THE WIZARD OF OZ. |

C.J. Blankenship has performed with several regional theatre companies in shows such as CATS (Plato/Macavity) with Westchester Broadway Theatre, A Little Night Music (Carl Magnus) with TheatreWorks, Dreamgirls (Curtis) with Willows Theatre Company, and Jubilee (Mowgli) with 42nd Street Moon. He is the recipient of several theatrical awards including a BATCC award for his portrayal of Curly in Oklahoma at Foothill Music Theatre. In the world of opera, he sang with the San Francisco Opera Chorus in Appomattox and Porgy and Bess. As a dancer, he performed in featured roles with the San Francisco Opera Ballet Corps in Samson and Delilah and The Rake's Progress. He has also performed principal dance roles with Peninsula Ballet Theatre, Moving Arts Dance, Huckabay McAllister Dance, San Francisco Taiko Dojo, and Na Hula 'O Moku'aina. By day, he works as a software engineer at Intuit. |

Tony DiCorti is excited to be making his debut at Bus Barn with such a wonderful cast! Over the past two years he has performed primarily in the South Bay Area and will make the jump to Los Angeles next year. Recent shows include West Side Story, Singing in the Rain, An Evening with Sam Shepard, and You Can't Take it With You. Tony lives in San Jose and works at a restaurant in Campbell. Eventually he would like to make a career out of this acting thing, but that’s only if the economy doesn’t kick his dreams in the pants first. He would like to thank his wonderful fellow cast mates, director, choreographer, family and all the friends that have been there for him - especially lately. I love you guys; enjoy the show!. |

Mary Gibboney works as a stage and commercial actress in Northern California. She recently performed as Mrs. Sowerberry in Berkeley Playhouse’s production of Oliver!. Other recent credits include Lady Bracknell in The Importance of Being Earnest, Anne in CCT’s Stage Struck, Hannah Ferguson in Palo Alto Player’s, Spitfire Grill, Mrs. Meers in Broadway By The Bay’s Thoroughly Modern Millie, Frauline Schneider with Berkeley’s Shotgun Players’ production of Cabaret, Margarethe in Town Hall Theatre’s Copenhagen and Juanita in Come Back To the Five and Dime… at CCT. She has also performed and directed in many other productions in San Jose, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale, and San Francisco. |

Monique Hafen is delighted to make her Bus Barn debut! A recent graduate of Santa Clara University’s Theatre Department, Monique has been seen in several university productions, such as Dionne in Hair, Woman 2 in Songs for a New World, and, most recently, Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie. While at school, Monique also worked throughout the Bay Area at such companies as Cabrillo Stage (Dorothy, The Wizard of Oz), Pear Avenue Theater (Melibea/Isabelle/Hippolyta, The Illusion; Jackie, Hay Fever), and Foothill Music Theatre (Ruthie/Ned, Bat Boy: The Musical). Monique will next be seen in the fall in Berkeley Playhouse’s Cinderella. |

Amy Lizardo is excited to be working with Bus Barn Stage for the first time. Amy received her bachelors in theatre from UC Riverside, and just finished her Masters at San Jose State. Amy has appeared in numerous shows including Lysistrata (Lysistrata), Mummified Deer (Mama Chu), Urinetown (Officer Barrel), and many more. Russell E. Johnson is a recent transplant from the Philadelphia area and is making his California debut with Smokey Joe's Cafe. His past East Coast shows include Zooman and the Sign, The Exonerated, The Full Monty, The Wiz and A Lesson Before Dying along with the lead in the Off-Broadway production of Ah, Wilderness. He is excited to be working with such a talented cast and crew and is looking forward to being a part of, and working with, various artistic mediums in the San Francisco area. He dedicates all of his performances to Speedy. |

Will Perez This marks Will’s 3rd production with BBSC! He is happy to be back in the beautiful town of Los Altos. By day he is a Lasik Technician and has assisted in thousands of Laser Vision Correction/Ophthalmic procedures, and by night he loves to stay busy with performing in musical theater. You may have last seen him on this particular stage in the quartet as a “Del Tone” in the West Coast Premiere of Breaking up is Hard to do. Some of his favorite roles/shows are Frankie (Forever Plaid, Bus Barn Stage Co.), The Producers ( SBMT ), Young Joe Hardy ( Damn Yankees, WVLO ), The World Goes Round (Pear Avenue Theater), and many more! He would like to thank his family for their support and those who helped put up this production. He is proud to be part of such a wonderfully talented cast! |

Brendan Bartholomew (Lighting Design) is a graduate of Santa Clara University where he received a degree in Civil Engineering with a minor in theatre. Brendan has been designing for companies in the Bay Area for the past ten years, including City Lights Theatre Company, California Theatre Center, Hillbarn, and Pear Avenue, and for special events at venues like the California Theatre and Marin Center. Brendan’s work was most recently seen at BBSC in A CHRISTMAS PUDDING. Some of Brendan’s other BBSC favorites include ENCHANTED APRIL, OVER THE TAVERN and A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE all the way back in 2002.
Conner Brown (Stage Manager) Working with Barbara and Bus Barn is always a pleasure, and SMOKEY JOE'S is no exception! Favorite credits include Over the Tavern, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Breaking Up is Hard to Do, and Treasure Island, to name a few. Originally from Florida, Conner earned a BA in Theatre and spent a summer in New York before settling in California. Now she spends her days providing engaging and fulfilling programming, events, and classes for older adults at Vintage Senior Living in San Jose.
Barbara J. Cannon (Artistic Director, Director, Costume Designer) has worked professionally as a director since 1991, when she directed her first show with Hillbarn Theatre in Foster City. Since that time, she has directed over 50 productions and served as Associate Director at Hillbarn Theater from 1991-1993, as Associate Artistic Director at Palo Alto Players from 1993-1998, and currently is Artistic Director at Bus Barn Stage Company. She has also worked as an actor, singer, costume designer, set and props designer, and teacher at Foothill College. Barbara is a graduate of UC Berkeley’s Dramatic Arts Department, and did postgraduate work at University of Hawaii, Manoa. She was awarded a 2003 Artists Fellowship for Stage Direction by Arts Council Silicon Valley. For BBSC, she has directed 27 shows, the most recent being LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS and has designed a multitude of costumes, sets, and props.
Chris Enni (Sound Design) has enjoyed working on sound design for the Bus Barn Stage. In pursuing his writing career, Chris has had two of his plays produced at the Foothill College New Works Festival - THE MAN WHO MARRIED A DUMB WIFE and THE PUPPET FACTORY. Before writing plays, Chris enjoyed writing songs featured on television, radio, and video. And before that, he toured nationally with his band The Cardiff Reefers, which came to an abrupt end when he and his wife decided to have children. And before that, he doesn't remember much - because of the children. Chris also plays jazz, popular and classical piano as well as electric guitar in his current band, Bad Daddy (we really aren't that bad). Ron Gasparinetti (Set Designer) was born and raised in Newark, NJ. He attended Essex Catholic High School and Montclair State University where he earned his BFA degree in technical theatre with a scenic design concentration. Ron worked the night shift for the Newark, NJ police department while attending college. He graduated in 1986. Ron has worked steadily since then as a technical director, scenic designer, lighting designer, props designer and production manager-sometimes all at once! He even forayed into the field of acting for a short time. Ron has been involved with over 400 productions in the last 30 years. He currently resides in California on the San Francisco Peninsula. In February of 2007, Ron joined forces with Charles McKeithan to form a new company: THRUST Scenic Design & Construction. To date, the company has built a clientele of 12 theatre companies in the Bay Area and has designed and built over 75 productions.
Charles McKeithan (Master Carpenter) has been a handyman by day and an actor by night in the local Bay Area for the past ten years. Last year he joined forces with Ron Gasparinetti to form THRUST Scenic Design and Construction. Lee Ann Payne (Choreographer) is excited to return to Bus Barn Stage! Lee Ann holds an MFA in Musical Theatre from San Diego State University and is the Tap and Musical Theatre dance instructor at Zohar School of Dance in Palo Alto. Recent choreography credits include, LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS, Urinetown, Kiss Me, Kate, Pete n Keely, and Once Upon a Mattress. A Bay Area native, Lee Ann returned home to great weather after spending six years as an actor in NYC. Thank you, Barbara, for giving me the opportunity to work such a wonderful organization.
Patricia Tyler (Properties Design) is very happy to be designing props once more for Bus Barn! She has designed props for over 30 shows in the Bay Area. As an actress, some of her recent theatre credits include: BUS STOP (Grace) at Bus Barn, All MY SONS (Kate) at the Mountain View Second Stage, CHEKHOV IN YALTA (Lilina) at the Dragon, THE LONG CHRISTMAS RIDE HOME (puppeteer) at The Magic Theatre, METAMORPHOSES NICKEL AND DIMED (Barbara), THE NIGHT OF THE IGUANA (Maxine), and A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM (Puck) at The Pear Avenue Theatre.
Shenelle Williams (Co-Music Director/Piano Conductor) holds a masters degree in Music Education from The University of the Arts and works as Music Director at Castilleja School. Past Bay Area productions as Associate Music Director include San Jose Stage Company’s Altar Boyz and Bat Boy at Foothill Music Theatre. As a rehearsal pianist and accompanist, she has played for a variety of theatres and musicians in the area including City Lights Theatre and Alameda Civic Light Opera. She is also a songwriter/arranger and will be releasing an EP with her band Missus and Mister this fall.
Spencer Williams (Co-Music Director) is excited to work with Bus Barn for the first time.
